Helston Boating Lake: A confiding adult drake Ferruginous Duck, apparently wing-clipped and so presumed escape. (J Thirlaway-Price) Also juveniles as follows: Tufted Duck – 2 families of 4 and 3 small ducklings; Coot – 2 well-grown young plus a family of 6 small chicks and one nest still being incubated; Canada Goose – family of 7 goslings; Mute Swan – 1 cygnet; Mallard – several families ranging from small to near adult size, not counted.
