Also 5 Glossy Ibis at Carnsew (T Culmer), 9 Glossy Ibis on Hayle Estuary (G Gillard, P Fraser, et al), 5 Glossy Ibis, 1 Kingfisher at Carnsew (J Witheywood), 2 Glossy Ibis at Carnsew, 9 Glossy Ibis on Hayle Estuary. St Ives Island, 7-10ish: Big numbers of large Shearwaters after 8am. Close to 500 Cory’s Shearwater, 22 Great Shearwater, 20+ Sooty Shearwater (incl a ‘flock’ of 5), 7 Balearic Shearwater, 10k Manx Shearwater, all after 8am. Plus 4 Sabine’s Gull incl a very close-in adult lingering offshore for 5 minutes, 1 Grey Phalarope, 50+ European Storm Petrel, 1 Little Tern, 1 Common Tern, several Arctic Tern and Sandwich Tern. Truro, mudflats opposite Boscawen Park café: Female Northern Wheatear (sat on stick protruding from mud for a least 1 hour, obviously very tired). (M Greenhalgh)
