Please be careful when using the tower hide access as the bullocks have got in behind the hide and broken several of the boardwalk planks. My fault unfortunately but we will get them fixed as soon as we can. Adrian (Reserve warden).

 

Porthilly Point: 1 Hooded Crow still present. (S Grose)

Restonguet Creek: 1 Osprey just off the Quay at Point at 18:00. (M Wilson)

Walmsley: 1 Hobby hunting dragonflies, distant mostly but on occasions in front of hide, 20+Cattle Egrets, 1 Kestrel, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 male Marsh Harrier, 100+ Swallows. (A Langdon, R Chiffers)

Breney Moor reserve and Helman Tor 1500-1630: 2 Marsh Tit, 3 Nuthatch, 4 Chiffchaff , 1 Redstart heard but not seen, 2 Buzzard, 1 Coal Tit, Blue Tit, Wren, Robin, Blackbird, Carrion Crow, Jackdaw, Magpie, Jay, Woodpigeon, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Stonechat, Swallows ( numerous), 2 House Martin. St Ives, Island: 124 European Storm Petrel, Sooty Shearwater, 2 Arctic Skua (Ad + juv), 3 Arctic Tern, 3 Sandwich Tern, 10,000+ Manx Shearwater, all West. 13 Porpoise, 3 Common Dolphin. Also Gannets, Fulmar, Kittiwake & Mediterranean Gulls moving. 07:30 – 09:00. (J Tragen)

Rumps/Pentire: Lots of Barn Swallows and a Pied Wagtail around the farm. Flocks of Linnets, the occasional Stonechat and a Kestrel on the Rumps. A few Cormorants on the Moules. (G Williams)

Trewornan Bridge: 7 Cattle Egret +2 more just up the rd before Gut Bridge.(S Grose)

Rock Helipad Field: 1 Kestrel, 1 Sparrowhawk over. (S Grose)

Hayle, Copperhouse Creek: c40 Redshank, 5 Greenshank, 1 Curlew, 7 Little Egret, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Common Sandpiper, 67 Canada Geese. (P K & T F Bray)
