Porthilly Point: 100+ Mediterranean Gull, 1 Hooded Crow, 4 Wigeon, 12 Turnstone, 2 Greenshank, 1 Curlew, 1 Snipe, 65 Oystercatcher, 2 Rock Pipit, 1 pr Mute Swan with 3 cygnets, 36 Black-headed Gull, 1 Great Black-backed Gull. Rock: 1 Sparrowhawk through, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Hummingbird Hawkmoth, 1 Harlequin Ladybird from private garden. Nansleden: 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel. (S Grose)

Argal Reservoir: (13.30 – 15.00) 1 juv Arctic Tern favouring NW corner of the lake. (N Watmough)

Skewjack: 2 Great Egret over 1820 heading towards Land’s End, also Tree Pipit over. Bosistow Lane, Polgigga: 1 Pied Flycatcher and 1 Spotted Flycatcher late afternoon. Nanjizal: 5 Lapwing in top fields and 1 Ringed Plover north over. (P Smale)

Boat Cove: 2 Whimbrel, 6 Turnstone, 4 Ringed Plover, 3 Little Egret, 2 Raven, (amazingly!!) at 18.50 a Kingfisher flew over the sea parallel with the shore from west to east, halted at the far curve of the cove, flying up in a steep arc where it hovered on the spot high up (4-5m) for 30 seconds, then dived into sea, returning to a large shoreside rock.  Repeated this once more before flying off round the coast edge eastwards.
